CH 402 acts as a radioprotective agent by reducing lipid peroxidation induced by ⁶⁰Co-γ ray irradiation in liver microsomes of both amiodarone-treated and control rats^[1].
CH 402 (0-20 min) inhibits ascorbate-induced lipid peroxidation in brain homogenates and brain microsomal fractions of Wistar rats, as well as in brain homogenates and brain microsomal fractions of CBA/Ca mice, with an IC₅₀ of 0.5 mM^[2].
