Hypocalcemia

Disorders causing hypocalcemia can be divided into parathyroid hormone (PTH) and non-PTH mediated. The most frequent cause of hypocalcemia is postsurgical hypoparathyroidism, while a more comprehensive search for other causes is needed for appropriate treatment in the non PTH-mediated forms. Intravenous calcium infusion is essential to raise calcium levels and resolve or minimize symptoms in the setting of acute hypocalcemia. Oral calcium and/or vitamin D supplementation is the most frequently used as treatment of chronic hypocalcemia.

    Calcium glucoheptonate 23351-51-1
Calcium glucoheptonate is a highly water-soluble calcium supplement. Calcium glucoheptonate can increase the proliferation rate and Calcium intake of MG-63 cells and increase the activity of alkaline phosphatase (ALP). Calcium glucoheptonate can upregulate the expression of osteogenic-related genes and proteins, such as collagen-1, osteocalcin and osteocalcin. Calcium glucoheptonate can be used for the researches of osteoporosis and hypocalcemia.

    Encaleret sodium 787584-62-7
Encaleret (CLTX-305) sodium is an orally active antagonist of the calcium-sensing receptor (CaSR), with an IC50 of 12 nM. Encaleret sodium exerts its effect by inhibiting the excessive activity of functional gain-of-function CaSR variants, and can restore blood calcium levels, promote the secretion of parathyroid hormone, improve magnesium and phosphorus metabolism, and increase urinary calcium excretion. Encaleret sodium can be used in the research of diseases such as osteoporosis and autosomal dominant hypocalcemia type 1.

    Calcium 4-oxopentanoate 591-64-0
Calcium 4-Oxopentanoate (levulinic acid calcium) is an effective oral calcium supplement and is commonly used as a food additive. Calcium 4-Oxopentanoate can be reduced in the liver to 4-hydroxypentanoate (HY-W107263), and ethanol enhances this reduction process. Calcium 4-Oxopentanoate can be used for studies on calcium deficiency.

    Asparaginate calcium 39162-75-9
Asparaginate calcium is a calcium2+ salt of asparaginate and anion/zwitterion form of aspartic acid. Asparaginate calcium is a calcium supplement and an antiarrhythmic active substance. Asparaginate calcium can be used for the research of arrhythmia.
