Camaroside is a flavonoid glycoside with weak cytotoxic activity against cancer cells and fibroblasts, and no significant antimicrobial activity. Camaroside reduces metabolic activity of fibroblasts and liver cancer cells.C amaroside can be found in the vegetative stems of Calotropis procera.

Biological Activity
Camaroside (compound 1) (50 μM) weakly reduces metabolic activity of mouse fibroblast NIH-3T3 cells and human hepatocellular carcinoma HepG2 cells, with no activity observed in human colorectal adenocarcinoma HT29 cells[1].
Camaroside shows no significant in vitro antimicrobial activity against the tested panel of bacteria and yeast[1].
