FMOC-3-azido-D-alanine is an Fmoc-protected azido amino acid derivative. FMOC-3-azido-D-alanine acts as a model substance in copper(I)-catalysed alkyne-azide cycloaddition reactions to test click chemistry conditions on solid support for ligation to alkyne-functionalized lysine dendrons.

In Vitro
FMOC-3-azido-D-alanine (Fmoc-D-Aza-OH) (2 eq.; 2 days) solid-phase copper(I)-catalysed cycloaddition to alkyne-functionalized lysine dendron achieves 92% yield when performed with 1.2 eq. CuI and 55 eq. DIPEA in DMF for 2 days at room temperature in the dark[1].
