Biological Activity
ADAMTS14 Protein, Human (His) is the recombinant human-derived ADAMTS14 protein, expressed by E. coli, with N-6*His tag.
ADAMTS14 exhibits aminoprocollagen type I processing activity in the absence of ADAMTS2. It appears to be synthesized as a latent enzyme that requires activation to display aminoprocollagen peptidase activity. Additionally, ADAMTS14 cleaves lysyl oxidase LOX at a site downstream of its propeptide cleavage site to produce a short LOX form.
