Description

CD6, a protein, lacks essential conserved residue(s) necessary for propagating feature annotation. CD6 Protein, Rat (HEK293, His) is the recombinant rat-derived CD6 protein, expressed by HEK293 , with C-His labeled tag. The total length of CD6 Protein, Rat (HEK293, His) is 379 a.a., with molecular weight of ~60-90 kDa.

Background

CD6 lacks conserved residue(s) essential for the propagation of feature annotation.

Biological Activity

Measured by the ability of the immobilized protein to support the adhesion of Jurkat human acute T cell leukemia cells. When 8×104 cells/well are added to rat CD6-His coated plates (5 μg/mL and 100 μL/well) in the ppresence of 10μg/mL PHA, 72.012% cells adhered specifically after 60 minutes at 37°C.

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.

  • Specific Activity Calculator

The reconstitution calculator equation

Volume (to add to vial) = Mass (in vial) ÷ Desired Reconstitution Concentration

Volume (to add to vial) = Mass (in vial) ÷ Desired Reconstitution Concentration
= ÷

The dilution calculator equation

Concentration (start) × Volume (start) = Concentration (final) × Volume (final)

This equation is commonly abbreviated as: C1V1 = C2V2

Concentration (start) × Volume (start) = Concentration (final) × Volume (final)
× = ×
C1   V1   C2   V2

The specific activity calculator equation

Specific Activity (Unit/mg) = 106 ÷ Biological Activity (ED50)

Specific Activity (Unit/mg) = 106 ÷ Biological Activity (ED50)
Unit/mg = 106 ÷ ng/mL
