Biological Activity
Description
DPY30 Protein, Human (His) is the recombinant human-derived DPY30, expressed by E. coli , with N-6*His labeled tag.
Background
DPY30 is a component of the MLL1/MLL complex, involved in the methylation of histone H3 at Lys-4, particularly trimethylation. Histone H3 Lys-4 methylation serves as a specific tag for epigenetic transcriptional activation. It may play a role in histone H3 acetylation. In teratocarcinoma cells, DPY30 is critical for retinoic acid-induced neural lineage differentiation by regulating gene induction and H3 Lys-4 methylation at key developmental loci. It may also have a direct or indirect role in endosomal transport. by similar: Other MLL complex members may share analogous functions.
