Biological Activity
Description
GPR52 Protein, Human (HEK293, Flag, His) is the recombinant human-derived GPR52, expressed by HEK293 , with His, Flag labeled tag. ,
Background
GPR52 is a Gs-coupled receptor activated by the antipsychotic drug reserpine, leading to increased intracellular cAMP and its internalization. It may play a role in locomotor activity by modulating dopamine, NMDA, and ADORA2A-induced locomotor responses, with these behavioral changes accompanied by alterations in dopamine receptor signaling pathways in the striatum. Additionally, GPR52 modulates HTT levels via cAMP-dependent but PKA-independent mechanisms by activating RAB39B, which translocates HTT to the endoplasmic reticulum, thereby preventing proteasomal degradation. by similar: These findings suggest GPR52 as a potential therapeutic target in neuropsychiatric disorders.
