Description

PANX1 Protein, Human (HEK293) is the recombinant human-derived PANX1, expressed by HEK293 , with tag Free labeled tag. ,

Background

PANX1 is an ion channel involved in various physiological functions, including blood pressure regulation, apoptotic cell clearance, and oogenesis. It forms anion-selective channels with relatively low conductance and an order of permeabilities: nitrate > iodide > chloride >> aspartate = glutamate = gluconate (By similarity). It can release ATP upon activation through phosphorylation or cleavage at the C-terminus. It may also function as a Ca2+-leak channel to regulate ER Ca2+ homeostasis.
