PMF1 Protein, Human (His, Strep)

Cat. No.: HY-P701855
Handling Instructions

The PMF1 protein is part of the MIS12 complex and ensures the correct alignment, segregation and kinetochore formation of chromosomes in mitosis. It also acts as a co-transcriptional partner of NFE2L2, regulating polyamine-induced SSAT transcription. PMF1 Protein, Human (His, Strep) is the recombinant human-derived PMF1 protein, expressed by E. coli , with N-Strep, N-6*His labeled tag. Background

PMF1 protein is an integral part of the MIS12 complex, crucial for maintaining normal chromosome alignment and segregation, as well as kinetochore formation during mitosis. Additionally, PMF1 may function as a cotranscription partner of NFE2L2, participating in the regulation of polyamine-induced transcription of SSAT. As a component of the MIS12 complex, PMF1 collaborates with MIS12, DSN1, and NSL1. It exhibits interaction with COPS7A and, notably, binds to the leucine-zipper domain of NFE2L2 via its coiled-coil domain. This interaction with NFE2L2 is essential for the transcriptional regulation of SSAT, emphasizing PMF1's role in coordinating cellular processes related to chromosome dynamics and transcriptional regulation.

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.

The reconstitution calculator equation

Volume (to add to vial) = Mass (in vial) ÷ Desired Reconstitution Concentration

Volume (to add to vial) = Mass (in vial) ÷ Desired Reconstitution Concentration
= ÷

The dilution calculator equation

Concentration (start) × Volume (start) = Concentration (final) × Volume (final)

This equation is commonly abbreviated as: C1V1 = C2V2

Concentration (start) × Volume (start) = Concentration (final) × Volume (final)
× = ×
C1   V1   C2   V2

The specific activity calculator equation

Specific Activity (Unit/mg) = 106 ÷ Biological Activity (ED50)

Specific Activity (Unit/mg) = 106 ÷ Biological Activity (ED50)
Unit/mg = 106 ÷ ng/mL
