Biological Activity

Description

USP27X Protein, Human (His-Strep II) is the recombinant human-derived USP27X, expressed by E. coli , with His-Strep II labeled tag.

Background

USP27X is a deubiquitinase involved in innate antiviral immunity, primarily by mediating the deubiquitination of CGAS and RIGI. It negatively regulates RIGI by catalyzing 'Lys-63'-linked deubiquitination of RIGI, thereby inhibiting type I interferon signaling. Additionally, USP27X regulates the 'Lys-63'-linked ubiquitination level of MDA5/IFIH1. As a positive regulator of the cGAS-STING pathway, it promotes the stabilization of CGAS by catalyzing its 'Lys-48'-linked deubiquitination. By similarity, USP27X can reduce BCL2L11/BIM ubiquitination levels and stabilize BCL2L11 in response to the RAF-MAPK-degradation signal, potentially counteracting the anti-apoptotic effects of MAPK activity by modulating BCL2L11 levels.
