Biological Activity
2,3-Dihydroxy-4-methoxybenzoic acid (30 mM) shows no catalytic activity by purified o-diphenol oxidase from sweet cherry fruits (Prunus avium)[1].
2,3-Dihydroxy-4-methoxybenzoic acid can serve as a starting material for synthesis of a prenylated xanthone monomer[2].
