2-Oxoaldehyde dehydrogenase (NADP+)
2-Oxoaldehyde dehydrogenase (NADP+) (EC 1.2.1.49) is an NADP+-dependent glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate dehydrogenase that catalyzes the oxidation and phosphorylation of glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate (GAP) to produce 1,3-bisphosphoglycerate (1,3-BPG), while simultaneously reducing NADP+ to NADPH.
