Description

3-Chloro-4-methylaniline hydrochloride is an orally effective avicide. 3-Chloro-4-methylaniline hydrochloride causes death in avian species. 3-Chloro-4-methylaniline hydrochloride induces pericardial deposits in birds post-mortem[1].

In Vivo

3-Chloro-4-methylaniline hydrochloride (25-600 µg/seed; p.o.) induces dose- and exposure-dependent mortality in birds; when the ratio of treated to untreated seeds is 1:25 at a dose of 400 µg/seed, the estimated mortality rate of the target species, the red-winged blackbird, is 50.5%[1].

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
