Biological Activity
4-Amino-3-methoxybenzoic acid (compound 12) (0.05 M; 2-aminothiophenol: 0.053 M; PPA: 85 g; 220 °C; 4 h) serves as the acid component in PPA-mediated benzothiazole synthesis, yielding a mixture of 5 products[1].
4-Amino-3-methoxybenzoic acid reacts with the 2-chlorobenzoyl-derived intermediate to yield 4-[3-(2-chlorobenzoyl) ureido]-3-methoxybenzoic acid with a yield of 89%[2].
4-Amino-3-methoxybenzoic acid reacts with the 2,4-dichlorobenzoyl-derived intermediate to yield 4-[3-(2,4-dichlorobenzoyl) ureido]-3-methoxybenzoic acid with a yield of 99%[2].
4-Amino-3-methoxybenzoic acid reacts with the 2-fluorobenzoyl-derived intermediate to afford 4-[3-(2-fluorobenzoyl) ureido]-3-methoxybenzoic acid in a yield of 98%[2].
4-Amino-3-methoxybenzoic acid reacts with the 2-chloro-4-fluorobenzoyl-derived intermediate to afford 4-[3-(2-chloro-4-fluorobenzoyl) ureido]-3-methoxybenzoic acid with a yield of 97%[2].
