4-Arm-PEG10000-Nitrophenyl carbonate
4-Arm-PEG10000-Nitrophenyl carbonate (4-Arm-PEG10000-NPC) is a four-arm PEG derivative. The core structure of 4-Arm-PEG10000-Nitrophenyl carbonate consists of four PEG chains, each modified at the end with a nitrophenyl carbonate group. 4-Arm-PEG10000-Nitrophenyl carbonate can be used for bioconjugation and drug delivery.

Biological Activity
The structure of PEG-Nitrophenyl carbonate comprises two key parts that work synergistically:
Nitrophenyl carbonate: undergoes a highly efficient nucleophilic substitution reaction with the primary amine groups (-NH2) on molecules such as proteins and peptides, forming stable carbamate bonds.
PEG chain: acts as a hydrophilic spacer, forming a hydration layer on the particle surface, which can reduce non-specific adsorption and recognition and clearance by the immune system, prolonging the circulation time of the carrier in vivo.
