7-Hydroxymethyl chlorophyll a reductase (EC 1.17.7.2) is an oxidoreductase that can convert chlorophyll a, 2 oxidized [2Fe-2S]-[ferredoxin] and H2O into 7(1)-hydroxychlorophyll a, 2 reduced [2Fe-2S]-[ferredoxin] and 2 H+.
