Bovine α-1,3-galactosyltransferase (recombinant) (EC 2.4.1.87) is a hexosyltransferase primarily responsible for adding α-D-galactose (α-Gal) to the termini of glycan chains, participating in the formation of the structures of glycoproteins, glycolipids, and blood group antigens.
