Western blot analysis of extracts from HepG2 (lane2, 20μg), MCF-7 (lane3, 20μg), HEK293T (lane4, 20μg) and HEK293 (lane5, 20μg) using GAA Antibody (HY-P83127). Proteins were transferred to a PVDF membrane and blocked with 5% non-fat milk in TBST for 2 hour at room temperature. The primary antibody (1/1000) and Loading control antibody (Beta Actin, HY-P80993, 1/10,000) was used in 5% non-fat milk in TBST at 4°C overnight. Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG-HRP Secondary Antibody (HY-P8001,1/10,000) was used for 1 hour at room temperature.

Function
GAA is essential for the degradation of glycogen in lysosomes. Has highest activity on alpha-1,4-linked glycosidic linkages, but can also hydrolyze alpha-1,6-linked glucans[1][2][3][4][5].
