Background

Function
CD127 (IL-7Rα, IL7R) is the IL-7 receptor α-chain and a key immune molecule for maintaining T-cell survival, development, and memory formation. It is highly expressed on naive and memory T cells but expressed at low levels on regulatory T cells (Tregs); therefore, it is widely used in T-cell subset identification, immune monitoring, and research into tumor immunology, infection immunology, and autoimmune diseases.

-
Isoforms & Post-Translational Modification
CD127 has 4 isomers: P16871-1: 51579 Da (predicted); P16871-2: 34018 Da (predicted); P16871-3: 29936 Da (predicted); P16871-4: 28722 Da (predicted).
N-glycosylated IL-7Ralpha binds IL7 300-fold more tightly than the unglycosylated form;Ubiquitinated by MARCHF8; leading to lysosomal degradation -
Subunit
The IL7 receptor is a heterodimer of IL7R and IL2RG. The TSLP receptor is a heterodimer of CRLF2 and IL7R. Interacts with CD53
