Biological Activity
Hydrochloride of Asocainol (3-30 μM) exerts the following effects on papillary muscles (32℃; Ke+ 5.9 mmol/L; stimulation frequency 0.5 Hz): no change in resting potential, concentration-dependent reduction in the maximum upstroke velocity of action potential (-16% to -67%), decrease in action potential amplitude (-4% to -16%), and shortening of action potential duration at 50% repolarization (-18% to -43%)[1].
