Biological Activity
β-Glucuronidase/Arylsulfatase, Helix pomatia (30 units/mL urine; 4 h) completely hydrolyzes the urinary conjugates of triclocarban, phenol and parabens in human urine samples, while the addition of methanol preserves the recovery rate of methylparaben[1].
β-Glucuronidase/Arylsulfatase, Helix pomatia (18-24 h) exhibits the lowest overall glucuronide hydrolysis efficiency in drug-free human urine supplemented with this enzyme, and incubation at 40-55 °C is required to achieve the cleavage rate of most DFSA-related glucuronides[2].
