Biological Activity: CB-618 is a β-lactamase inhibitor. CB-618 reversibly covalently inhibits Ambler class A, C, and some class D serine β-lactamases. CB-618 has weak antibacterial activity as a single agent, but it significantly enhances the antibacterial activity of Meropenem (HY-13678) against enzyme-producing Enterobacteriaceae. CB-618 can be used in research on drug-resistant bacteria[1][2].
