Biological Activity: PBA-Q76-O16B is a lipid that cannot cross the blood-brain barrier on its own, but can mediate cargo delivery into the brains of mice when blended with NT1 lipids. After forming stable small-sized lipid nanoparticles with NT1-O12B, PBA-Q76-O16B delivers drugs into the brains of mice. When formulated into lipid nanoparticles with NT1-O14B, PBA-Q76-O16B delivers (-27) GFP-Cre recombinase into mouse brain cells, driving functional gene recombination in multiple brain regions. PBA-Q76-O16B can be used in studies related to lipid nanoparticles (LNPs)[1][2].
