PBA-Q76-O16B
PBA-Q76-O16B is a lipid that cannot cross the blood-brain barrier on its own, but can mediate cargo delivery into the brains of mice when blended with NT1 lipids. After forming stable small-sized lipid nanoparticles with NT1-O12B, PBA-Q76-O16B delivers drugs into the brains of mice. When formulated into lipid nanoparticles with NT1-O14B, PBA-Q76-O16B delivers (-27) GFP-Cre recombinase into mouse brain cells, driving functional gene recombination in multiple brain regions. PBA-Q76-O16B can be used in studies related to lipid nanoparticles (LNPs).

Biological Activity
PBA-Q76-O16B (50 μg (-27)GFP-Cre per injection; i.v.; four injections spaced 5 days apart) in 3:7 weight ratio with NT1-O14B LNPs delivers functional (-27)GFP-Cre protein to neuronal cells across multiple mouse brain regions, inducing Cre-mediated gene recombination[1].
PBA-Q76-O16B (3:7 weight ratio with NT1-O12B; i.v.; single dose), when mixed with NT1-O12B as part of a nanoparticle carrier, facilitates efficient cargo delivery across the blood-brain barrier in healthy BALB/C mice[2].
PBA-Q76-O16B (3:7 weight ratio with NT1-O12B; i.v.; every 2 weeks; 8 weeks), when mixed with NT1-O12B at a 3:7 weight ratio as part of SSK1-NPs, enables efficient delivery of SSK1 to the brain of 3xTg AD mice, leading to significant elimination of senescent cells, reduction of Aβ accumulation, improvement of cognitive function, and an excellent safety profile[2].
