Ormosinine
Ormosinine is a natural Ormosia alkaloid dimer consisting of a panamine unit and an ormosanine unit linked via a C21-C22 bond, and it can be converted to panamine by acid treatment or sublimation. Ormosinine serves as a tool molecule for natural product chemistry research.

Activité biologique
Description
In Vitro
Ormosinine (48 h) is a colorless crystalline alkaloid isolated from the seeds of Ormosia panamensis[1].
Ormosinine (40°C, 1850 p.s.i.; 20 h), an alkaloid isolated from Ormosia panamensis, undergoes vigorous hydrogenation to yield ormosanine, piptanthine, and two other dimeric reduction products[2].
