Desmethyl-formamido-pirimicarb
Desmethyl-formamido-pirimicarb is an intermediate metabolite of Pirimicarb (HY-119419). Desmethyl-formamido-pirimicarb is detected in both Pirimicarb-exposed soil environments and advanced oxidation water treatment processes.

Biological Activity
Desmethyl-formamido-pirimicarb (60 days) forms as a major N-dealkylation metabolite of pirimicarb in clay-loam textured soil (1.6% organic matter), with its concentration increasing over a 60-day incubation period[1].
Desmethyl-formamido-pirimicarb (10 days) persists in the layers of disturbed clay-loam soil columns following a 10-day leaching period, with no detectable amounts recovered in leachates[1].
Desmethyl-formamido-pirimicarb (120 min) is the most abundant intermediate transformation by-product formed during solar photo-Fenton treatment of pirimicarb in biologically purified secondary WWTP effluent and coastal tertiary WWTP effluent at acidic pH[2].
