The azide group can undergo copper-catalyzed azido-azyne cycloaddition (CuAAc) with molecules containing the alkyne group. It can also undergo ring-strain-driven azido-azyne cycloaddition (SPAAC) with molecules containing the DBCO or BCN groups.
Modifying the surface of LNPs with GNYTCEVTELTREGETIIELK significantly reduces the recognition and clearance of LNPs by the mononuclear phagocytic system (MPS) and decreases their accumulation in non-target tissues such as the liver and spleen.
