Description

pH630 Deep Red TFP Ester, Amine reactive is a fluorescent labeling reagent combining pH responsiveness and amine-targeting capabilities. It combines pH sensitivity and amine-specific labeling, primarily used for highly specific, low-background fluorescent labeling and imaging of primary amine-containing biomolecules in acidic environments (Ex/Em = 630/650 nm).

In Vitro

pH630 Deep Red TFP Ester, Amine Reactive: The active group of tetrafluorophenyl ester (TFP) can react with the primary amine group (-NH2) on biomolecules (such as proteins and antibodies) to form a stable covalent amide bond. pH630 Deep Red TFP Ester, Amine Reactive is pH sensitive; in a neutral environment (pH 7.4), it emits almost no fluorescence (low background). Its fluorescence signal is only activated and significantly enhanced when exposed to acidic environments (such as late endosomes and lysosomes, pH approximately 5.0).

MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
