Biological Activity
Description
Arginase-1 Protein, Human (C-His) expresses in E. coli with a His tag at the C-terminus. Arginase-1 Protein inhibits the growth of the arginine-depleting enzyme arginine deiminase (ADI)-resistant Hep3B tumor cells in mice[1].
Background
Recombinant Human Arginase-1 has IC50s of 0.18 U/ml and 0.07 U/ml for HepG2 and Hep3B cells. Recombinant Human Arginase-1 has a Km value of 1.9 mM for arginine[1].
Verified Bioactivity
Measured by the production of urea during the hydrolysis of arginine. The specific activity is >35,000 pmol/min/μg.
