BAD Protein, Human (His, Myc) is the recombinant human-derived BAD, expressed by E.coli, with His, Myc labeled tag.
Background
Bad is a protein that promotes cell death. It successfully competes for binding to Bcl-X(L), Bcl-2, and Bcl-W, thereby influencing the heterodimerization levels of these proteins with BAX. Bad can reverse the death repressor activity of Bcl-X(L) but not that of Bcl-2 (By similarity). Additionally, it appears to act as a link between growth factor receptor signaling and apoptotic pathways.
