BTBD9 Protein, Human (Sf9, His, Strep)

Cat. No.: HY-P701539
Handling Instructions

The BTBD9 protein is invovled in regulating hippocampal synaptic plasticity and learning and memory in mice. BTBD9 is involved in formation of the limbs and cell fate determination in the developing Drosophila melanogaster. BTBD9 is also a genetic risk factor of Restless legs syndrome (RLS). BTBD9 alleviates Mn-induced oxidative stress and neurotoxicity in Caenorhabditis elegans. via regulation of insulin/insulin-like growth factor signaling pathway. BTBD9 Protein, Human (Sf9, His, Strep) is the recombinant human-derived BTBD9 protein, expressed by Sf9 insect cells , with N-Strep, N-8*His labeled tag. The total length of BTBD9 Protein, Human (Sf9, His, Strep) is 611 a.a., .

Description

The BTBD9 protein is invovled in regulating hippocampal synaptic plasticity and learning and memory in mice. BTBD9 is involved in formation of the limbs and cell fate determination in the developing Drosophila melanogaster. BTBD9 is also a genetic risk factor of Restless legs syndrome (RLS). BTBD9 alleviates Mn-induced oxidative stress and neurotoxicity in Caenorhabditis elegans. via regulation of insulin/insulin-like growth factor signaling pathway[1][2][3].

Background

The BTBD9 protein contains a BTB/POZ domain and a BACK domain. BTBD9 is widely expressed in the central nervous system of mouse, such as in the thalamus, hypothalamus, etc. Therefore, BTBD9 is invovled in regulating hippocampal synaptic plasticity and learning and memory. BTBD9 is involved in formation of the limbs and cell fate determination in the developing Drosophila melanogaster[1][2].In additon, BTBD9 is also a genetic risk factor of Restless legs syndrome (RLS). Btbd9 knockout mice show motor restlessness, sleep disruption, altered sensory perception and serum iron levels, as well as enhanced fear memory. BTBD9 alleviates Mn-induced oxidative stress and neurotoxicity in Caenorhabditis elegans. via regulation of insulin/insulin-like growth factor signaling pathway[3].

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.

  • Dilution Calculator

  • Specific Activity Calculator

The reconstitution calculator equation

Volume (to add to vial) = Mass (in vial) ÷ Desired Reconstitution Concentration

Volume (to add to vial) = Mass (in vial) ÷ Desired Reconstitution Concentration
= ÷

The dilution calculator equation

Concentration (start) × Volume (start) = Concentration (final) × Volume (final)

This equation is commonly abbreviated as: C1V1 = C2V2

Concentration (start) × Volume (start) = Concentration (final) × Volume (final)
× = ×
C1   V1   C2   V2

The specific activity calculator equation

Specific Activity (Unit/mg) = 106 ÷ Biological Activity (ED50)

Specific Activity (Unit/mg) = 106 ÷ Biological Activity (ED50)
Unit/mg = 106 ÷ ng/mL
