Coiled-coil domain containing 134 (CCDC134) is a classical secreted protein that inhibited Elk1 transcription regulation and MAPK signal transduction through the Raf-1/MEK/ERK and JNK/SAPK pathway. Also, CCDC134 was identified as a candidate biomarker of gastric cancer, and targeted siRNA knockdown of CCDC134 inhibit tumor migration and invasion via MAPK pathway. CCDC134 might serve as a potential immune cytokine to directly augment CD8+T-cell activation, proliferation and antigen-specific cytotoxicity via the JAK3-STAT5 signaling pathway, and that CCDC134 showed potent antitumor effects via a CD8+ T-cell-dependent manner. CCDC134 exerts potent anti-inflammatory effects through the selective modulation of pathogenic Th1 and Th17 cells by targeting critical signaling pathways[1].
