Biological Activity

Description

CIT Protein, Human (sf9) is the recombinant human-derived CIT, expressed by Sf9 insect cells , with tag Free labeled tag.

Background

CIT is a protein that plays a crucial role in cytokinesis, facilitating the localization of KIF14 to the central spindle and midbody. As a putative RHO/RAC effector, it binds to the GTP-bound forms of RHO and RAC1 and may exhibit tighter binding specificity for p21 in vivo. CIT also displays serine/threonine protein kinase activity and phosphorylates MYL9/MLC2. It is essential for regulating cytokinesis and the development of the central nervous system. by similar: CIT's functions are closely associated with cell division and signaling, particularly through the RHO/RAC pathway.
