CNTFR alpha Protein, Human (sf9, His)

CNTFR alpha protein is critical in protein folding, binding to cytosolic chaperone protein (c-CPN) and promoting the translocation of target proteins. It helps nascent polypeptide chains fold in different pathways. CNTFR alpha Protein, Human (sf9, His) is the recombinant human-derived CNTFR alpha protein, expressed by Sf9 insect cells , with C-His labeled tag.

Description

CNTFR alpha protein is critical in protein folding, binding to cytosolic chaperone protein (c-CPN) and promoting the translocation of target proteins. It helps nascent polypeptide chains fold in different pathways. CNTFR alpha Protein, Human (sf9, His) is the recombinant human-derived CNTFR alpha protein, expressed by Sf9 insect cells , with C-His labeled tag.

Background

The CNTFR alpha protein plays a crucial role in protein folding by specifically binding to cytosolic chaperonin (c-CPN) and facilitating the transfer of target proteins to it. It also binds to nascent polypeptide chains, aiding in their folding process within an environment where numerous alternative pathways for nonnative proteins exist. Structurally, the PFDN1 protein forms a heterohexamer consisting of two PFD-alpha type and four PFD-beta type subunits. Additionally, CNTFR alpha protein acts as a receptor for the heterodimeric neurotropic cytokine composed of CLCF1/CLC and CRLF1/CLF-1. It also forms a complex with IL6ST/GP130 and IL27RA/WSX1 to interact with the neuroprotective peptide humanin. Furthermore, it forms a heterotrimer with LIFR and IL6ST and interacts with SORL1, potentially promoting internalization and lysosomal degradation.

Reconstitution

It is not recommended to reconstitute to a concentration less than 100 μg/mL in ddH2O. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% BSA, 5% HSA, 10% FBS or 5% Trehalose).

Storage & Stability

Stored at -20°C for 2 years from date of receipt. After reconstitution, it is stable at 4°C for 1 week or -20°C for longer (with carrier protein). It is recommended to freeze aliquots at -20°C or -80°C for extended storage.

Shipping
