ODC1 Protein, Human (His-T7)
Based on 1 publication(s) in Google Scholar
ODC (ornithine decarboxylase) is the rate-limiting enzyme in polyamine biosynthesis, catalyzing the conversion of ornithine to putrescine, a precursor of polyamines such as spermidine and spermine, which influence cell proliferation and various cellular processes. ODC1 Protein, Human (His-T7) is the recombinant human-derived ODC1 protein, expressed by E. coli , with N-T7, C-6*His labeled tag.

Description

ODC1 Protein, Human (His-T7) is the recombinant human-derived ODC1 protein, expressed by E. coli , with N-T7, C-6*His labeled tag.
Background
ODC (Ornithine Decarboxylase) is the rate-limiting enzyme in polyamine biosynthesis, and its activity is regulated by specific inhibitors, AZs (Antiaminoacidases), which in turn are inhibited by AZI (Antiaminoacidase Inhibitors). ODC1 catalyzes the first and rate-limiting step in polyamine biosynthesis, converting ornithine to putrescine, a precursor of polyamines such as spermidine and spermine. Polyamines are essential for cell proliferation and are involved in a variety of cellular processes ranging from DNA replication to apoptosis.
