OSM Protein, Mouse (HEK293, His)
Based on 1 Customer Validation
OSM protein is a multifunctional growth regulator that effectively inhibits the proliferation of tumor cell lines and regulates the production of cytokines, including IL-6, G-CSF, and GM-CSF produced by endothelial cells. It specifically binds to type II OSM receptors, forming a heterodimer composed of OSMR and IL6ST.OSM Protein, Mouse (HEK293, His) is the recombinant mouse-derived OSM protein, expressed by HEK293 , with C-His labeled tag.

Biological Activity
OSM protein is a multifunctional growth regulator that effectively inhibits the proliferation of tumor cell lines and regulates the production of cytokines, including IL-6, G-CSF, and GM-CSF produced by endothelial cells. It specifically binds to type II OSM receptors, forming a heterodimer composed of OSMR and IL6ST.OSM Protein, Mouse (HEK293, His) is the recombinant mouse-derived OSM protein, expressed by HEK293 , with C-His labeled tag.
OSM Protein emerges as a versatile growth regulator with a potent ability to inhibit the proliferation of various tumor cell lines. This multifaceted protein extends its influence to the regulation of cytokine production, including IL-6, G-CSF, and GM-CSF from endothelial cells. OSM exclusively engages the type II OSM receptor, forming heterodimers composed of OSMR and IL6ST. Beyond its antiproliferative effects, OSM is intricately involved in the maturation of fetal hepatocytes, playing a pivotal role in promoting both liver development and regeneration.
Measured in a cell proliferation assay using NIH-3T3 mouse embryonic fibroblast cells. The ED50 for this effect is 0.4530 ng/mL, corresponding to a specific activity is 2.206×106 U/mg.
