TMPRSS1/HPN Protein, Human (HEK293, His, solution)
Based on 1 Customer Validation
TMPRSS1/HPN is a serine protease that cleaves extracellular substrates and is involved in the proteolytic processing of growth factors such as HGF and MST1/HGFL. In addition to growth factor regulation, TMPRSS1/HPN is also critical for cell growth and morphology maintenance. TMPRSS1/HPN, Human (HEK293, His, solution) is the recombinant human-derived TMPRSS1/HPN protein, expressed by HEK293, with C-6*His labeled tag.

Background
TMPRSS1/HPN, a serine protease, is involved in the cleavage of various extracellular substrates, contributing to the proteolytic processing of growth factors such as HGF and MST1/HGFL. Beyond its role in growth factor regulation, TMPRSS1/HPN plays a significant part in cell growth and the maintenance of cell morphology. Additionally, this protease is implicated in the proteolytic processing of ACE2, emphasizing its involvement in crucial cellular pathways. Notably, TMPRSS1/HPN mediates the proteolytic cleavage of urinary UMOD, a process essential for the polymerization of UMOD, underscoring its multifunctional role in modulating various biological processes.
Verified Bioactivity
1.Immobilized Human HPN, His Tag at 2 μg/mL (100 μL/Well) on the plate. Dose response curve for Anti-HPN Antibody, hFc Tag with the EC50 of 5.0-15.0 ng/mL determined by ELISA.
2.Measured by its ability to cleave tertbutoxycarbonyl-Gln-Arg-Arg-7-amino-4-methylcoumarin (Boc-QRR-AMC). The specific activity is 10000-100000 pmol/min/μg.
