Rose-Bengal Chloramphenicol Agar is a selective medium for the enumeration of yeasts and moulds from a wide variety of foodstuffs. The medium has a neutral pH and chloramphenicol is used as a selective agent to suppress the growth of bacteria.

Biological Activity
Guidelines (Following is our recommended protocol. This protocol only provides a guideline, and should be modified according to your specific needs).
Ingredients:
Peptone: 5.0 g/L;
Glucose: 10.0 g/L;
Potassium dihydrogen phosphate: 1.0 g/L;
Magnesium sulfate (anhydrous): 0.5 g/L;
Agar: 20.0 g/L;
Rose Bengal Chloramphenicol Agar: 0.033 g/L;
Chloramphenicol: 0.1 g/L
Usage:
Weigh 36.6 g of this product, heat and boil to dissolve in 1000 mL of distilled water, divide into Erlenmeyer bottles, sterilize at 121°C for 15 minutes, and set aside.
