Biological Activity
Sodium stearoyl glutamate (0.6% w/w), used as an anionic co-emulsifier in FB1 O/W emulsions, increases apparent viscosity, reduces particle size, enhances particle size uniformity, and improves long-term physical stability under different storage temperatures[3].
Sodium stearoyl glutamate (0.6% w/w) exhibits excellent preservative efficacy in FB1 emulsion. It completely eliminates all tested bacteria, yeasts and fungi within 7 days after inoculation, and maintains microbial sterility until day 28[3].
