(1,5-Cyclooctadiene) dimethylplatinum (II) exhibits limited but selective activity against some Gram-positive Staphylococcus aureus strains, including methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) and Glycopeptide-intermediate Staphylococcus aureus (GISA). (1,5-Cyclooctadiene) dimethylplatinum (II) shows no hemolytic activity[1].

In Vitro

(1,5-Cyclooctadiene) dimethylplatinum (II) (with a CC50 of 100 μM) exhibits no toxicity to HEK-293 cells and shows no hemolytic activity against red blood cells[1].
(1,5-Cyclooctadiene) dimethylplatinum (II) exhibits limited but selective activity against some *Staphylococcus aureus* strains, with significantly higher activity against MRSA and NRS 17 GISA[1].
