Alkyne-PEG5-SNAP can alkyne conjugated benzylguanine (BG), the BG moiety reacts specifically and rapidly with SNAP-tag, a polypeptide protein tag, allowing irreversible and covalent labeling of SNAP fusion proteins with an additional alkyne functionality suitable for further conjugation. Alkyne-PEG5-SNAP is a click chemistry reagent, it contains an Alkyne group and can undergo copper-catalyzed azide-alkyne cycloaddition (CuAAc) with molecules containing Azide groups.
