alpha-1,3-Galactosyltransferase (a1,3GalT) (GGTA1) catalyzes the generation of the α-gal glycan via the transfer of a galactose (Gal) in α1-3 linkage, from a uridyl-diphosphate (UDP) donor onto the N-acetyllactosamine (Galβ1,4GlcNAc-R) of glycoproteins. alpha-1,3-Galactosyltransferase (a1,3GalT) is responsible for the synthesis of the α-galactose (α-Gal) epitope found in most mammalian species.

Product Information
This product is expressed by recombinant E. coli, N-terminal His Tagged, with a molecular weight of 36 kDa. It is used to connect galactose to the non-reducing end of the sugar chain of Galβ1,4GlcOR in an α1,3 connection manner. It is a key enzyme that catalyzes the synthesis of 3-sugar.
Instructions
1. Add substrate according to the reaction system, 10 mM MnCl2, and buffer salt (such as Tris-HCl) can be appropriately added to adjust the pH to 7.5, and add an appropriate amount of α1,3GalT (according to reaction requirements)
2. After mixing, incubate the sample at 37°C for 2-4 hours, or overnight.
Notes
When the system is scaled up, the incubation time or enzyme amount needs to be adjusted according to the actual situation, and can be mixed by low-speed shaking.
