Western blot analysis was performed on extracts from A431 (lane 1, 15 μg), Daudi (lane 2, 15 μg), and Hela (lane 3, 15 μg) using CD66b Rabbit mAb. Proteins were transferred to a PVDF membrane and blocked with 5% non - fat milk in TBST at 4°C overnight. The primary antibody (1:1000 dilution) and the loading control antibody (beta-Actin(HRP), HY-P80993, 1:5000 dilution) was incubated in 5% non-fat milk in TBST for 1 hour at 37°C. Goat Anti - Rabbit IgG - HRP Secondary Antibody (1:20000 dilution) was then applied for 40 minutes at 37°C.
Background
-
Function
CD66b cell surface glycoprotein that plays a role in cell adhesion in a calcium-independent manner. Mediates heterophilic cell adhesion with other carcinoembryonic antigen-related cell adhesion molecules, such as CEACAM6. Heterophilic interaction with CEACAM8 occurs in activated neutrophils[1][2][3].

Subcellular Localization
Cell membrane; Lipid-anchor, GPI-anchor; Cell surface
-
Expression
Tissue_specificity:It is expressed in leukocytes and bone marrow of patients with chronic myeloid leukemia. -
Subunit
Monomer. Heterodimer with CEACAM6; heterodimerizes via its Ig-like V-type domain
