Western blot analysis of extracts from Hela (lane 2(20μg), Hela (lane 3(40μg), using PAX7 Antibody. Proteins were transferred to a PVDF membrane and blocked with 5% BSA in TBST for 2 hour at room temperature. The primary antibody and Loading control antibody (Beta Actin, HY-P80438, 1/3000) was used in 5% BSA in TBST at 4°C overnight. Goat Anti-Mouse/Rabbit IgG-HRP Secondary Antibody (HY-P8004/HY-P8001, 1/10,000) was used for 1 hour at room temperature.
Background

Isoforms & Post-Translational Modification
P23759 has 3 isomers: P23759-3: 55119 Da (predicted); P23759-1: 56896 Da (predicted); P23759-2: 56726 Da (predicted).
Acetylation at Lys-105 and Lys-139 by KAT8 is required for high-level transcription factor activity. Deacetylated by SIRT2 -
Subunit
Can bind to DNA as a heterodimer with PAX3. Interacts with PAXBP1; the interaction links PAX7 to a WDR5-containing histone methyltransferase complex (By similarity). Interacts with DAXX (PubMed:10393185)
