Biological Activity: NRL-1049 dihydrochloride (BA-1049) is a selective and orally active rho-associated protein kinase 2 (ROCK2) inhibitor with an IC50 of 0.59 μM. NRL-1049 dihydrochloride shows selectivity for ROCK2 is 44 times that of ROCK1 (IC50 = 26 μM). NRL-1049 dihydrochloride can preserve the blood-brain barrier after acute injury[1].
