For the construction of BT-LGG-EVs, 1 mol Cys-SDSSD and 1 mol DSPE-PEG2000-Mal ammonium were mixed and allowed to react for 24 h to develop bone-targeting peptide DSPE-PEG-Mal-Cys-SDSSD.

HELDC liposomes prepared with 3% DSPE-PEG-maleimide shows no change in particle size over two weeks, with an average diameter of 120 nm^[3].
