Biological Activity
Gossypetin 3,8,3′-trimethyl ether (Compound 7) (50 μM; 48 h) exhibits cytotoxic activity against multiple human cancer cell lines (IC50 = 26.95 ± 2.1 μg/mL in SKLU-1 cells)[1].
Gossypetin 3,8,3′-trimethyl ether lacks antibacterial activity against tested bacterial strains (Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus epidermidis, and Streptococcus pneumoniae) (MIC >2 mg/mL)[1].
MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.
