In Vitro

Gramicidin S analogue 9 (0.125-256 μg/mL; 16-24 h) inhibits growth of MSSA ATCC 29213 and MRSA ATCC USA300 with an MIC of 2 μg/mL, has an HC50 of 39.31 μg/mL in human red blood cells, an IC50 of 22.36 μg/mL in HEK-293 cells, and a therapeutic index of 19.66[1].
