Poly(ethylene glycol) dithiol (Mn 1000) is a hydrophilic, bifunctional thiol-terminated PEG used for preparing reduction-responsive nanodrug micelles, injectable cell-encapsulating hydrogels, and PEG modifications on noble metal nanoparticle surfaces; it also serves as a flexible linker for protein conjugation and the modification of biosensing interfaces.
